Rab GDI α Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab GDI alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rab GDI α antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab GDI alpha protein plays a crucial role in intracellular vesicle trafficking by forming a soluble complex with Rab proteins, which prevents the exchange of guanosine diphosphate for guanosine triphosphate, thereby regulating the activation state of these small GTP-binding proteins. Notably, Rab GDI alpha is predominantly expressed in neural and sensory tissues, suggesting specific involvement in neural signal transmission, which is vital for proper communication between neurons and the processing of sensory information. Gene sequences for Rab GDI proteins are highly conserved across evolution, indicating essential function in cellular processes. Rab GDI α monoclonal antibody (C-7) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying vesicle trafficking and neural signaling pathways in various species.
