SEE ALSO...

Rab GDI α/β Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab GDI alpha / beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rab GDI α/β antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab GDP dissociation inhibitor (Rab GDI) plays a crucial role in intracellular vesicle trafficking by forming a soluble complex with Rab proteins, thereby inhibiting the exchange of GDP for GTP. This regulation is vital for maintaining proper function of Rab proteins, which are essential for vesicle transport within cells. Rab GDI α, also known as XAP-4, is predominantly expressed in neural and sensory tissues, suggesting a specialized role in neural signal transmission. The presence of two major isoforms, Rab GDI α and Rab GDI β, with Rab GDI β being ubiquitously expressed, highlights evolutionary conservation across eukaryotic kingdoms, underscoring importance in cellular processes. Rab GDI α/β (E-5) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying dynamics of vesicle trafficking and specific functions of Rab proteins in various biological contexts.
