SEE ALSO...

Rab 24 Antibody (43) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 24 protein of mouse, rat, human, and canine origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Rab 24 antibody (43) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this important protein. Rab 24 is a member of the Ras-related superfamily of guanine nucleotide-binding proteins, which share 30-60% homology with Ras p21. Rab 24 plays a crucial role in the autophagic pathway, a cellular process essential for degrading and recycling cellular components, thereby maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress. Rab 24 helps regulate the transport of proteins and organelles within the cell, ensuring that damaged or unnecessary cellular materials are efficiently removed. Rab 24′s unique characteristics, such as low intrinsic GTPase activity and inefficient prenylation, distinguish Rab 24 from other Rab family members, highlighting specialized functions in cellular transport mechanisms. Anti-Rab 24 antibody (43) enables researchers to gain deeper insights into the dynamics of autophagy and its implications in various physiological and pathological conditions.

I am using Rab 24 (43): sc-136049 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
