PSPC1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSPC1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PSPC1 antibody (C-3) is available in non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSPC1, also known as paraspeckle component 1 or PSP1, is a 523 amino acid protein playing a crucial role in gene expression regulation, particularly in androgen receptor-mediated transcription in Sertoli cell lines. PSPC1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nuclear matrix, where PSPC1 is vital for paraspeckle formation, subnuclear structures involved in RNA storage and processing. PSPC1′s interaction with proteins like p54/nrb highlights PSPC1′s importance in RNA metabolism and gene regulation. Additionally, PSPC1 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, alpha and beta, undergoing DNA damage-dependent phosphorylation, likely mediated by ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) or ataxia-telangiectasia and Rad3-related (ATR) kinases. PSPC1 is encoded on human chromosome 13, a region associated with critical genes including BRCA2 and RB1, and is implicated in genetic disorders such as Trisomy 13, which can lead to severe developmental issues.
