Psoriasin Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Psoriasin in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Psoriasin, also known as PSOR1 or S-100A7, is a 101 amino acid protein belonging to the S-100 family of calcium-binding proteins, which plays a crucial role in regulating numerous cellular processes such as cell cycle, progression, and differentiation. Psoriasin is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is secreted via a non-classical secretory pathway, highlighting its importance in cellular signaling and communication. Notably, Psoriasin is highly expressed in psoriatic epidermis and has been implicated in bladder squamous cell carcinoma and breast cancer, suggesting potential involvement in carcinogenesis. The gene encoding Psoriasin, along with the related S100A15 gene, evolved from a common ancestral gene in mice, with human S100A15 gene encoding a calcium-binding protein sharing 95% sequence identity with Psoriasin. Psoriasin′s unique structural features, including two EF-hand domains, underscore its significance in calcium signaling and potential as a biomarker for various diseases.
