Psoriasin Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Psoriasin protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Psoriasin antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Psoriasin, also known as PSOR1 or S-100A7, is a 101 amino acid protein belonging to the S-100 family of calcium-binding proteins, which are crucial for various cellular functions. Psoriasin is primarily secreted through a non-classical secretory pathway into the cytoplasm and is expressed in fetal ear, tongue, and skin tissues. Psoriasin plays a significant role in regulating cellular processes such as cell cycle, cell progression, and differentiation, which are vital for maintaining normal tissue homeostasis. Psoriasin contains two EF-hand domains that facilitate calcium binding, and shows high upregulation in psoriatic epidermis, bladder squamous cell carcinoma, and breast cancer tissues, indicating potential involvement in carcinogenesis. The gene encoding Psoriasin and the related S100A15 gene have diverged from a common ancestral gene, with S100A15 gene in humans encoding a calcium-binding protein sharing 95% sequence identity with Psoriasin, highlighting their evolutionary relationship and functional similarities.
