    SEE ALSO...

PSMD5 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSMD5 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD5 protein plays a crucial role in the 26S proteasome, a vital protease complex responsible for the selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various cellular processes, including the cell cycle, apoptosis, and responses to oxidative stress. Specifically, PSMD5 is a subunit of the 19S regulatory particle of the 26S proteasome, where PSMD5 forms a heterotrimer with PSMC1 and PSMC2, facilitating the recognition and unfolding of ubiquitinated substrates. The presence of nine di-leucine repeats and a motif resembling a tyrosine-based motif in PSMD5 suggests involvement in the trafficking and targeting of proteins for degradation, highlighting importance in cellular protein quality control and signaling pathways.
