PSMD12 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSMD12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PSMD12 antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PSMD12, also known as p55 or Rpn5, plays a crucial role as a regulatory subunit of the 26S proteasome, which is essential for the selective degradation of ubiquitinated proteins within eukaryotic cells. This process is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, regulating protein levels, and facilitating the removal of damaged or misfolded proteins, thereby preventing cellular stress and potential disease states. The 26S proteasome is composed of a 20S core particle that houses the proteolytic activity and two 19S regulatory particles that recognize and unfold ubiquitinated substrates. PSMD12, consisting of 456 amino acids and belonging to the proteasome subunit p55 family, contains a PCI domain that is integral to its function within the PA700 complex, further underscoring its importance in proteasomal activity and cellular regulation.
