SEE ALSO...

PSAP Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PSAP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PSAP (E-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase (PSA or PSAP) is a 100 kDa zinc metallopeptidase that plays a crucial role in the degradation of neuropeptides by cleaving amino acid residues from the amino-terminus, which is essential for regulating neuropeptide activity and maintaining proper neuronal function. While PSAP is the most abundant aminopeptidase in the brain, PSAP presence is not limited to this organ; PSAP is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and is involved in the metabolism of neuropeptides within nerve terminals and synaptic clefts, highlighting PSAP importance in neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity. The human PSA gene is located on chromosome 17q 2-32, further emphasizing PSAP relevance in genetic studies and potential implications in neurological disorders.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Non-specific stainingI purchased this antibody about a month ago and am in the process of troubleshooting. There seems to be a lot of non-specific staining. I am trying to balance between a dilution which allows my cells to be easily counted but to minimize background staining.
