SEE ALSO...

pS2 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects pS2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-pS2 antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. pS2 protein, also known as trefoil factor 1, plays a crucial role in mucosal healing and is secreted throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Three intrachain disulfide bonds create a characteristic trefoil motif in pS2′s structure, which is essential for stability and function. This structural integrity allows pS2 to resist proteolytic degradation, ensuring availability at sites of injury in the gut, where pS2 promotes epithelial cell migration and repair. pS2 is highly expressed in normal gastric mucosa but absent in normal breast tissue, although estrogen can induce pS2 in MCF7 cells. pS2 has been implicated in various carcinomas, including those of the breast, pancreas, and stomach, highlighting potential as a biomarker for cancer progression. The gene encoding pS2 is located on human chromosome 21q22.3, emphasizing significance in human health and disease.
