PRPF31 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRPF31 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-PRPF31 antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRPF31, also known as PRP31 or RP11, plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing as a component of the U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP complex, which is essential for spliceosome assembly and pre-mRNA splicing. Located predominantly in the nucleus, PRPF31 is found in Cajal bodies and speckles, where PRPF31 is involved in gene expression regulation. Notably, mutations in PRPF31 are linked to autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa type 11 (RP11), a degenerative eye disease that leads to significant vision loss, starting with night blindness and progressing to the loss of peripheral and central vision.
