Datasheets
  • PRPF18 Antibody (52) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ PRPF18 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 33-226 of PRPF18 of PRPF18 of human origin
  • PRPF18 Antibody (52) is recommended for detection of isoform 1 of PRPF18 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and IF; non cross-reactive with isoform 2 of PRPF18
  • PRPF18 Antibody (52) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; and to HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for PRPF18 Antibody (52) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with PRPF18 Antibody (52) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

PRPF18 Antibody (52) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRPF18 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). anti-PRPF18 antibody (52) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugates. PRPF18, also known as pre-mRNA-splicing factor 18 or HPRP18, is a crucial 342 amino acid protein that localizes to nuclear speckles, where PRPF18 plays a vital role in the second step of pre-mRNA splicing. This process is essential for the maturation of precursor mRNA into functional mRNA, which is critical for proper gene expression and cellular function. PRPF18 is a member of the PRP18 family and features seven WD repeats, existing as two alternatively spliced isoforms encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 10p13. PRPF18′s significance extends beyond structural role; PRPF18 is involved in the regulation of gene expression and has implications in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation and response to DNA damage. Understanding PRPF18′s function is important, as dysregulation of splicing factors can lead to a range of diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.

What blocking solution should I use with PRPF18 (52): sc-136529 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

Is there any paper with the PRP18 blot in the published papers? I can't see the five references on this site. Thanks!
