Datasheets
  • Profilin-1 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ, cited in 6 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 2-37 at the N-terminus of Profilin-1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Profilin-1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, bovine and porcine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Profilin-1 Antibody (H-4) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Profilin-1 Antibody (H-4) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Profilin-1 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Profilin-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Profilin-1 plays a crucial role in regulating actin polymerization by binding to and sequestering actin monomers, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell motility, shape, and division. Profilin-1 acts as a nucleotide exchange factor, facilitating the loading of ATP onto actin monomers, thereby promoting their incorporation into growing actin filaments. Profilin-1 is predominantly expressed in tissues such as the lung, liver, placenta, and kidney, highlighting its importance in both structural and functional cellular dynamics. Notably, Profilin-1′s interaction with other proteins, such as dynamin I and synapsin in the axonal and dendritic processes of the mouse brain, suggests involvement in synaptic function and neuronal signaling. Additionally, Profilin-1 overexpression in endothelial cells has been linked to enhanced adhesion to fibronectin, indicating a potential role in cell adhesion mechanisms. Given significance in various biological processes and implications in conditions like food allergies, where plant Profilin is recognized as a pan-allergen, anti-Profilin-1 antibody (H-4) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating the multifaceted roles of this protein in health and disease.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GREAT PFN1 antibody for western only not IF IHCI am working with CNS and so far this antibody not working at all making me crazy. not good on either formalin fixed or frozen cns sections. I tried other mouse monoclonal clones also with no success. It has very very beautiful signal on westernblot though especially when you use binding RI 680 secondary from same company
