SEE ALSO...

Probasin Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects probasin protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-probasin antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Probasin, a prostate-specific and androgen-regulated protein, plays a crucial role in the functional differentiation of prostatic epithelium by facilitating the production of tissue-specific secretory proteins. This production is significantly influenced by serum androgens, with probasin being a key player in this process. Notably, probasin exists in both secreted and nuclear forms and is predominantly expressed in the epithelial cells of the prostate. The regulation of probasin gene transcription by androgens is a complex process that requires the presence of two androgen receptor-binding sites located within the 5′-flanking region of the probasin gene. The cooperative binding of the androgen receptor to these sites is essential for the effective transcriptional activation of the probasin gene, highlighting probasin′s importance in prostate differentiation and function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393830 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
