PRDM4 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PRDM4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PRDM4 antibody (A-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRDM4 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression and is involved in cell differentiation and tumorigenesis, making PRDM4 significant in understanding cancer biology and developmental processes. Structurally, PRDM4 is characterized by an internal positive regulatory (PR) domain and six carboxy-terminal zinc finger motifs, which are essential for function as a transcription factor. These zinc finger motifs enable PRDM4 to bind to specific DNA sequences, thereby influencing transcription of target genes. PRDM4 interacts with p75 neurotrophin receptor and translocates from cytoplasm to nucleus upon nerve growth factor treatment, highlighting PRDM4′s role as a downstream mediator in neurotrophin signaling pathways. Under normal growth conditions, PRDM4 is predominantly localized in cytoplasm, but translocates to nucleus during serum starvation, indicating a dynamic role in cellular responses to environmental changes. Human PRDM4 gene is located on chromosome 12q23-q24.1, a region associated with tumor suppressor genes, further underscoring PRDM4′s potential involvement in growth arrest and cancer progression.
