PRCC Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PRCC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PRCC (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PRCC protein, which stands for papillary renal cell carcinoma, plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA splicing and is predominantly located in the nucleus, where PRCC colocalizes with splicing factors. This localization highlights PRCC′s involvement in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression, essential for maintaining cellular function and responding to developmental cues. PRCC protein is encoded by a gene that undergoes a specific chromosomal translocation, resulting in a fusion with TFE3 gene, which can lead to renal tumor development. PRCC is expressed in various normal adult and fetal tissues and consists of 491 amino acids, characterized by a high proline content that may influence structural properties and interactions with other proteins. Understanding PRCC function and localization is vital for elucidating PRCC′s role in renal cell carcinoma and potential therapeutic targets.
