PP1 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the full-length human protein phosphatase 1 catalytic subunit alpha (PP1α), also known as PPP1CA or Protein Phosphatase 1α. PP1α monoclonal antibody (E-9) is involved in the regulation of cellular processes, including cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis, through the reversible dephosphorylation of serine and threonine residues on target proteins. This modulation of phosphorylation states by PP1α is essential for maintaining cellular integrity and ensuring proper functioning of cellular signaling pathways, making PP1α a pivotal factor in understanding diseases where phosphatase activity is disrupted. PP1 monoclonal antibody (E-9) exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively detecting PP1 family catalytic subunits in mouse, rat, and human samples, as well as in canine, bovine, and porcine. PP1 (E-9) antibody demonstrates versatility across multiple applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
