SEE ALSO...

POL H Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POL H protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). POL H (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POL H protein, also known as RAD30A, plays a critical role in DNA repair, specifically in the synthesis of DNA during the replication process following damage. This function is vital because POL H helps maintain genomic stability and prevents mutations that could lead to cancer, particularly in individuals with xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), a genetic disorder characterized by extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet light and a predisposition to skin cancers. Unlike other XP proteins involved in nucleotide excision repair, POL H is essential for translesion synthesis, allowing DNA replication to continue past damaged sites. Deficiencies in POL H lead to a significant reduction in the ability to synthesize intact daughter DNA strands after DNA damage, underscoring POL H′s importance in cellular response to genotoxic stress.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with POL H Antibody (B-7): sc-17770?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Technical Service department by calling 800-457-3801 option 2, emailing scbt@scbt.com, or using the Live Chat function on our website.
