    SEE ALSO...

PLRP2 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLRP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLRP2 (D-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The pancreatic lipase-related protein 2 (PLRP2) is a 469 amino acid protein that shares 65% amino acid identity with pancreatic lipase, a crucial enzyme for dietary fat absorption. PLRP2 is primarily expressed in the pancreas and is secreted into the intestinal lumen, where PLRP2 plays a significant role in lipid metabolism by hydrolyzing triglycerides into diglycerides, monoglycerides, and free fatty acids. Notably, PLRP2 contains a PLAT domain, which facilitates protein-lipid interactions, enhancing lipolytic activity. This activity is particularly important as PLRP2 is inhibited by the lipase inhibitor orlistat, highlighting PLRP2′s relevance in metabolic processes and potential implications in obesity and related disorders. PLRP2′s ability to catalyze the reaction of triacylglycerol and water to form diacylglycerol and a carboxylate underscores functional importance in lipid digestion and absorption, making anti-PLRP2 antibody (D-1) a valuable tool for researchers studying lipid metabolism and related diseases.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with PLRP2 (D-1): sc-376236?

    Asked by: cjMara
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
