Plk Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Plk of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, and ELISA. Plk Antibody (F-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Plk, or polo-like kinase 1, is a crucial serine/threonine kinase that plays a significant role in cell cycle regulation, particularly during mitosis. Plk is essential for the proper functioning of the mitotic spindle, which is responsible for the accurate segregation of chromosomes during cell division. Plk is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and accumulates during the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle, with levels peaking at the onset of mitosis before rapidly decreasing post-mitosis. This dynamic expression pattern highlights Plk importance in cell proliferation and suggests Plk may serve as a valuable marker for mitotically active tissues, including the colon and placenta, as well as various tumors. Plk Antibody (F-8) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of cell division and potential implications of Plk in cancer biology.

Yes, this antibody is available conjugated to HRP (sc-17783 HRP), 200 µg/ml, for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin (sc-17783 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-17783 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-17783 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-17783 AF647), 200 µg/ml, for IF, IHC(P) and FCM.

Is sc-17783 suitable for use on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues?

Thank you for your question. We have not tested the Plk (F-8) antibody for IHC(P) and so this is not a recommended application at this time. The antibody is recommended for, and has been published for IF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for western blot and IF1) Working dilution 1:6000 - 1:8000 on western blot depending on the amount of protein loaded. Clean bands that matched with expected size on the blot that was previously probed with phospho-PLK1 antibody. 2) Works well on IF at dilution 1:250. Note the clear PLK1 staining on the mitotic cells (metaphase vs anaphase)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gute bis sehr gute ErgebnisseSeit Jahren verwenden wir diesen Plk1-Antikörper, der in fast allen Zelllinien sehr gute Ergebnisse zeigt. Ausnahmen bilden lediglich einige Primärzellen, hier setzen wir ein Wettbewerberprodukt ein. Das ist sehr viel teurer, aber in diesen Spezialfällen geeigneter. Bei 95% unserer Blots sind wir jedoch sehr zufrieden mit dem Santa Cruz Plk1-Antikörper.
