SEE ALSO...

PLC δ4 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLC delta 4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC δ4 (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLC delta 4 protein plays a significant role in cellular signaling by catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol, which are crucial for various physiological processes, including muscle contraction and neurotransmitter release. PLC delta 4 is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and kidney tissues, as well as in corneal epithelial cells, indicating involvement in kidney and ocular functions. PLC delta 4 protein′s ability to interact with calcium as a cofactor is essential for enzymatic activity, and dysregulation may contribute to various pathophysiological conditions. With broad reactivity and multiple applications, anti-PLC δ4 antibody (B-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying intricate signaling pathways mediated by phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C in health and disease.

I am using PLC δ4 (B-2): sc-373875 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not working for my samplesI used the polyclonal H-250 from Santa Cruz that was good to detect the correct MW ~ 88 kDa of this protein by WB, but it was discontinued. I tested this B2 side-by-side with the H-250 but the B2 is not working. I validate the H-250 in cells overexpressing and knockdown for PLCD4
