PLC δ4 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PLC delta 4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PLC δ4 (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PLC delta 4 protein plays a significant role in cellular signaling by catalyzing the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate second messengers inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate and diacylglycerol, which are crucial for various physiological processes, including muscle contraction and neurotransmitter release. PLC delta 4 is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and kidney tissues, as well as in corneal epithelial cells, indicating involvement in kidney and ocular functions. PLC delta 4 protein′s ability to interact with calcium as a cofactor is essential for enzymatic activity, and dysregulation may contribute to various pathophysiological conditions.
