PKR2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PKR2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PKR2 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PKR2, a member of the prokineticin receptor family, plays a crucial role in mediating the effects of its ligands, such as EG-VEGF and Prokineticin-2, which are vital for numerous physiological processes. PKR2 is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system and is essential for normal development of the olfactory bulb, highlighting PKR2′s importance in sensory processing and neurodevelopment. Upon ligand binding, PKR2 interacts with G proteins, leading to intracellular calcium mobilization and activation of the MAPK pathway, which are critical for various functions including neuronal survival and circadian rhythm regulation. Mutations in the gene encoding PKR2 have been linked to Kallmann syndrome type 3, a condition characterized by anosmia and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, underscoring PKR2′s significance in both developmental and physiological contexts.
