SEE ALSO...

PKA Iα reg Antibody (20) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PKA I alpha reg protein of mouse, rat, human, and canine origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-PKA I alpha reg antibody (20) is available as the non-conjugated format. PKA I alpha reg protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a tissue-specific regulator that downregulates the expression of several liver genes, which is vital for maintaining metabolic homeostasis and preventing aberrant cell growth. This regulatory function is particularly important in liver health, as dysregulation can lead to conditions such as hepatocellular carcinoma. PKA I alpha reg protein′s ability to modulate gene expression in response to cyclic AMP (cAMP) signaling highlights its significance in various physiological processes, including proliferation and metabolism. Notably, functional null mutations in the gene encoding PKA I alpha reg are linked to Carney complex, an autosomal dominant syndrome characterized by multiple neoplasms, including cardiac myxomas and endocrine tumors, underscoring PKA I alpha reg protein′s importance in tumor suppression and overall cellular regulation.
