SEE ALSO...

PKA Iα/β reg Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PKA I alpha / beta reg protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PKA Iα/β reg (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PKA I alpha / beta regulatory protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by modulating cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) activity, which is essential for mediating diverse cellular responses to external stimuli such as growth, ion transport, and metabolic regulation. PKA Iα regulatory subunit, in particular, is known for tissue-specific functions, including downregulation of several liver genes, which is vital for maintaining metabolic homeostasis. Mutations in PKA Iα reg gene are linked to Carney complex, an autosomal dominant syndrome characterized by multiple neoplasms, including myxomas and endocrine tumors, highlighting PKA Iα reg importance in both normal physiology and disease states.

Can PKA Iα/β reg (B-6): sc-271125 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, PKA Iα/β reg (B-6): sc-271125 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
