PJA2 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PJA2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PJA2, also known as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase praja-2, RNF131, or Neurodap1, is a 708 amino acid protein characterized by a single ring-type zinc finger and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms. PJA2 plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. PJA2′s ability to interact with various E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, such as UBE2D2, highlights its importance in mediating E2-dependent, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. PJA2 localizes to both the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus membranes, suggesting a role in the post-translational modification of proteins destined for secretion or membrane insertion. Conservation across multiple species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, and zebrafish, indicates PJA2′s vital role in cellular processes that may influence neurological functions and developmental pathways. Anti-PJA2 antibody (A-4) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of protein ubiquitination and its implications in various biological contexts.
