    PJA2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PJA2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PJA2 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PJA2, also known as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase praja-2, RNF131, or Neurodap1, is a 708 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a ring-type zinc finger and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms. PJA2 plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. PJA2 is significantly conserved across various species, including chimpanzees, dogs, cows, mice, rats, chickens, and zebrafish, and shares 52% identity with PJA1, a protein implicated in protein ubiquitination in the brain and associated with X-linked mental retardation. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5q21.3, PJA2 is primarily localized to the membranes of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, where PJA2 participates in E2-dependent, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. PJA2 interacts with a variety of E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, such as UBE2D2, in vitro, highlighting PJA2′s importance in cellular signaling pathways and protein turnover.
