PITPβ Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects PITPβ in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PITPβ is a crucial lipid binding protein that plays a significant role in the transport of phosphatidylinositol (PI) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) between cellular membranes, which is essential for the formation of second messenger molecules involved in critical signaling pathways, including phospholipase C and phosphoinositide 3-kinase pathways. PITPβ maintains cellular lipid homeostasis and facilitates intracellular signaling by mobilizing PI from the endoplasmic reticulum and regulating PI release from vesicles in the Golgi network. PITPβ exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, and while PITPβ is required for Golgi targeting, constitutive phosphorylation of Ser 262 does not influence phospholipid transfer activity. With widespread expression across various tissues and involvement in essential cellular processes, anti-PITPβ antibody (A-10) serves as a valuable tool for researchers investigating lipid transport and signaling mechanisms in mammalian cells.
