    SEE ALSO...

PIPK I β Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PIPK I beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PIPK I β (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate-5-kinase (PIPK) family plays a crucial role in synthesizing phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate, a key lipid that regulates essential cellular processes such as cell proliferation, survival, membrane trafficking, and cytoskeletal organization. Within this family, PIPK I β, also known as STM7, is particularly important due to its specific role in phosphorylating phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate at the 5-hydroxyl position, which is vital for the generation of signaling molecules that mediate various cellular responses. The PIPK family is categorized into three types—type I, type II, and type III—each with distinct substrate specificity and subcellular localization, determined by their unique activation loops. PIPK I β is expressed in brain tissue and interacts with other signaling proteins, contributing to the intricate network of cellular signaling pathways. Understanding the function and interactions of PIPK I β is essential for elucidating its role in health and disease, particularly in neurobiology and cancer research.
