    SEE ALSO...

PHF13 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PHF13 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHF13 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHF13, also known as PHD finger protein 13 or SPOC1, is a 300 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a PHD-type zinc finger, which plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation. PHF13 is primarily located in the nucleus, where PHF13 is involved in the regulation of gene expression, making PHF13 essential for various cellular processes, including differentiation and response to environmental signals. The gene encoding PHF13 is situated on human chromosome 1, a region spanning 260 million base pairs and containing over 3,000 genes, with significant association to numerous diseases, including familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, and various cancers. Aberrations in chromosome 1 have been linked to head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma, and multiple myeloma, highlighting PHF13′s importance in both normal cellular function and disease pathology.

I am using PHF13 (G-9): sc-376086 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
