PHF12 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects PHF12 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHF12 Antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHF12 protein, also known as PHD finger protein 12 or PF1, is a 1,004 amino acid nuclear protein characterized by one forkhead-associated (FHA) domain and two PHD-type zinc fingers, which are critical for function in transcriptional regulation. PHF12 plays a significant role as a transcriptional repressor, primarily by recruiting mSin3A complex to specific DNA regions, thereby influencing histone deacetylase activity and modulating gene expression. Multiple alternatively spliced isoforms of PHF12 highlight functional diversity and adaptability in various cellular contexts. PHF12 gene is located on human chromosome 17, a region rich in genetic information, comprising over 2.5% of the human genome and encoding more than 1,200 genes, underscoring PHF12′s importance in the broader landscape of gene regulation and cellular function.
