PHAX Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PHAX protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PHAX (F-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PHAX protein, known as phosphorylated adaptor for RNA export, plays a crucial role in the assembly of spliceosomal U small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs) by facilitating the nuclear export of U snRNA precursors. This process is vital for proper gene expression and RNA processing, as U snRNPs are essential components of the spliceosome, which removes introns from pre-mRNA. PHAX acts as an adaptor between the cap-binding complex and the CRM1/RanGTP export pathway, ensuring that U snRNA is efficiently transported from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Notably, PHAX undergoes phosphorylation in the nucleus, a modification that is critical for the assembly of the export complex; subsequent dephosphorylation in the cytoplasm leads to the disassembly of this complex.
