    SEE ALSO...

PGC-1β Antibody (6C3F6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PGC-1β of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PGC-1β (6C3F6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PGC-1β, also known as PERC or PPARGC1B, plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coactivator that regulates mitochondrial biogenesis and energy metabolism. PGC-1β interacts with key transcription factors such as nuclear respiratory factor-1 (NRF-1), estrogen receptor alpha (ERα), and glucocorticoid receptor (GR), thereby influencing processes like energy expenditure and glucose metabolism. PGC-1β is predominantly expressed in tissues with high metabolic activity, including the brain, heart, and skeletal muscle, and expression is modulated by insulin and fatty acids. Notably, PGC-1β undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation and acetylation, which can significantly impact activity and stability, thereby affecting metabolic pathways and potentially contributing to metabolic disorders such as obesity. The gene encoding PGC-1β is polymorphic, and variations in expression may further influence individual susceptibility to metabolic diseases, making PGC-1β a critical target for research in metabolic regulation and therapeutic interventions.
