SEE ALSO...

PGAM1 Antibody (6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PGAM1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PGAM1 antibody (6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PGAM1 plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism, specifically in the interconversion of 3-phosphoglycerate and 2-phosphoglycerate, which are key intermediates in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. This enzymatic activity is vital for maintaining energy homeostasis and supporting cellular functions, particularly in tissues with high metabolic demands. PGAM1, along with its isozyme PGAM2, can form homodimers or heterodimers, with PGAM1 predominantly expressed in various tissues while PGAM2 is primarily found in skeletal muscle, mature sperm cells, and the heart. The unique dimerization of these proteins allows for fine-tuning of metabolic pathways, making PGAM1 an important target for studying metabolic disorders and potential therapeutic interventions.

Are there any issues with using sc-130334: PGAM1 (6) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-130334 conjugates.
