Peroxin 3 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Peroxin 3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Peroxin 3 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Peroxin 3, also known as PEX3 or TRG18, is a crucial multi-pass membrane protein consisting of 373 amino acids that plays a vital role in peroxisome biogenesis. Peroxisomes are essential organelles found in nearly all eukaryotic cells, involved in critical metabolic processes such as the beta-oxidation of very long-chain fatty acids and the detoxification of hydrogen peroxide. Peroxin 3 is particularly important as PEX3 interacts with Peroxin 19, facilitating the assembly of peroxisomal membranes and the import of peroxisomal proteins. Deficiencies in Peroxin 3 can lead to severe genetic disorders, including peroxisome biogenesis disorder complementation group 12 and Zellweger syndrome, both characterized by impaired peroxisomal function. Using anti-Peroxin 3 antibody (B-6) in research can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of peroxisome-related diseases and the fundamental processes of cellular metabolism.
