PDGF-D Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PDGF-D protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDGF-D (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Platelet-derived growth factor D (PDGF-D) plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as growth, survival, and tissue repair, particularly in connective tissue cells. PDGF-D represents one of four members in the PDGF family, which includes PDGF-A, PDGF-B, and PDGF-C, with biological effects mediated through activation of two tyrosine kinase receptors, PDGFR-α and PDGFR-β. PDGF-D is secreted as a disulphide-linked homodimer known as PDGF-DD, which becomes an active ligand for PDGFR-β following limited proteolysis. This activation influences various developmental processes and is implicated in tumor pathology. PDGF-D expression occurs in fibroblastic adventitial cells, cultured endothelial cells, and various tumor cell lines, highlighting PDGF-D′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
