SEE ALSO...

PCM1 (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PCM1 protein of mouse, rat and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PCM1 (G-6) antibody is available as both non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pericentriolar Material is a dynamic substance whose composition oscillates during the cell cycle. PCM1 (Pericentriolar Material 1) is a centrosomal protein showing distinct cell cycle-dependent association with the centrosome complex. PCM1 (G-6) monoclonal antibody associates securely with the centrosome complex through G1, S, and part of G2. Late in G2, as cells prepare for mitosis, PCM1 dissociates from the centrosome and remains evenly diffused throughout the cell during mitosis before re-associating with centrosomes in G1 phase progeny cells. PCM1′s chromosomal location on 8p22-p21.3 draws interest since this region commonly shows deletions in several tumors. In thyroid tumor tissue, PCM1 expression significantly decreases with altered subcellular localization.
