PBK Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PBK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PBK antibody (B-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PBK, also known as human PDZ-binding kinase, is a serine/threonine kinase consisting of 322 amino acids and is characterized by the presence of a T/SXV motif. PBK plays a crucial role in regulating cellular processes, particularly in cell cycle control and cellular proliferation. PBK is predominantly expressed in the placenta and is notably absent in adult brain tissue, highlighting specific functional relevance in reproductive biology. PBK interaction with PDZ domain-containing proteins, such as tumor suppressor protein Dlg, underscores importance in cellular signaling pathways. PBK is activated by cell cycle checkpoint kinase Cdc2/cyclin B, which phosphorylates PBK, thereby influencing activity and potential oncogenic effects.
