PARP-2 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PARP-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARP-2 Antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-2 (PARP-2) plays a crucial role in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, where PARP-2 catalyzes the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of nuclear proteins, a vital post-translational modification that occurs in response to DNA damage. This modification is essential for the recruitment of DNA repair proteins to sites of damage, thereby facilitating the repair of DNA strand breaks and maintaining genomic stability. PARP-2 is predominantly located in the nucleus and is particularly abundant in actively dividing tissues such as the kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, heart, and spleen, highlighting PARP-2′s importance in cellular proliferation and repair mechanisms. Additionally, human PARP-2 is mapped to chromosome 14q11.2-q12, underscoring PARP-2′s genetic significance in various biological processes.
