PARP-2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects PARP-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PARP-2 antibody (F-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-2 (PARP-2) plays a crucial role in the base excision repair (BER) pathway, where PARP-2 catalyzes the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of nuclear proteins, a vital post-translational modification that occurs in response to DNA damage. This modification is essential for the recruitment of DNA repair proteins to sites of damage, thereby facilitating the repair of DNA strand breaks and maintaining genomic stability. PARP-2 is predominantly located in the nucleus and interacts with PARP-1, enhancing the efficiency of the DNA repair process.
