SEE ALSO...

PARD6B Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects PARD6B of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PARD6B (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PARD6B, a 345 amino acid polypeptide, plays a crucial role in cellular asymmetry, which is essential for the proper development of multicellular organisms. PARD6B contains a PDZ domain and a CRIB-like motif that facilitates interactions with GTP-bound Rac and Cdc42, as well as atypical protein kinase C isoforms PKCι/λ and PKCΩ. These interactions are vital for the formation of a ternary complex that is implicated in establishing normal tight junctions at epithelial cell-cell contacts and in the polarization of mother cells prior to asymmetric cell division in organisms such as C. elegans. PARD6B is involved in localizing or maintaining PARD3 at the cell periphery, thereby influencing cell polarity and growth. PARD6B is predominantly expressed in the pancreas and both adult and fetal kidneys, with weaker expression observed in the placenta and lung, highlighting its significance in various physiological processes.

I am using PARD6B (B-10): sc-166405 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
