Paraxis Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Paraxis protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Paraxis (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Paraxis protein plays a crucial role in mesodermal differentiation and myogenesis, acting as a transcriptional regulator that influences the development of mesoderm-derived cells. Specifically, Paraxis (B-6) monoclonal antibody targets a protein essential for proper mesoderm patterning during embryonic development, as Paraxis interacts with E proteins to form dimers that bind to DNA and regulate gene expression. This interaction enables Paraxis to inhibit myogenic regulatory factors, thereby controlling the balance between muscle and non-muscle cell fates. Paraxis protein regulates morphogenetic activities during somitogenesis, highlighting a key role in forming somites, which are precursors to the vertebral column and skeletal muscle.
