    SEE ALSO...

Parafibromin Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Parafibromin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Parafibromin plays a critical role as a tumor suppressor, encoded by the CDC73 gene, which is essential for regulating cell division and maintaining genomic stability. Parafibromin is located in the nucleus, where anti-Parafibromin antibody (E-4) identifies a key component of the RNA polymerase II/Paf1 complex, facilitating the transcriptional regulation of genes by modifying histones. Proper functioning of Parafibromin is vital, as mutations in the CDC73 gene can lead to hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid carcinoma, making Parafibromin an important marker for diagnosing these conditions. Parafibromin interacts with various proteins involved in transcriptional regulation, including the RNA polymerase II large subunit, which underscores Parafibromin′s significance in cellular processes. Parafibromin (E-4) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying parathyroid tumors and the underlying mechanisms of endocrine tumorigenesis.
