SEE ALSO...

P2Y2 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects P2Y2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-P2Y2 antibody (E-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. P2Y2 functions as a G protein-coupled receptor that mediates extracellular nucleotide effects primarily through phospholipase C activation, which is vital for cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, and cytokine release. P2Y2 plays a key role in inflammation and vascular damage, showing differential expression in heart, lung, and brain tissues while maintaining universal presence in leukocytes. P2Y2′s ability to activate signaling pathways in response to nucleotides underscores its importance in regulating immune responses and maintaining homeostasis. Using P2Y2 (E-3) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to explore this receptor′s role in cellular signaling and its impact on physiological and pathological conditions.

We have noticed some cross -reactivity tissue with mouse inoculated with human-derived tumor cells. We blocked mouse-on-mouse technique but still saw immunopositivity. We only want human reactivity. Has it been proven that this does NOT react with mouse?

Asked by: Cow147
Thank you for your question. We have validated that it is human reactive, which is why we only recommend it for that use. This antibody has not been tested for mouse use, so we can not say whether it will pick up mouse or not. There is definitely a possibility that it picks up mouse, but we have not tested it. We only warranty it for human reactivity, not that it will not detect any other species.
