SEE ALSO...

P2X5 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects P2X5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). P2X5 (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. P2X5 is a member of the P2X receptor family, which consists of ligand-gated ion channels that facilitate calcium ion influx into cells in response to extracellular ATP. These receptors are crucial for mediating synaptic transmission and play a significant role in various physiological processes, including neurotransmission and muscle contraction. P2X5 is involved in regulating inflammatory responses and has been implicated in the pathophysiology of several diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. P2X5 is predominantly located in the plasma membrane of excitable cells, such as neurons and muscle cells, where P2X5 contributes to rapid signaling mechanisms essential for cellular communication and function. Understanding P2X5 localization and function is vital, as alterations in P2X5 expression or activity can lead to significant physiological consequences, making P2X5 a potential target for therapeutic intervention.

Are there any issues with using sc-398682: P2X5 (A-11) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-398682 conjugates.
