p-phospholemman Antibody (Ser 68) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects phospholemman in mouse and rat samples through western blotting (WB). Anti-phospholemman antibody (Ser 68) specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of phospholemman at serine 68, a critical site that plays a significant role in phospholemman function. Phospholemman, a member of the FXYD family of small membrane proteins, is primarily located in the plasma membrane of cardiac and skeletal muscle cells, where phospholemman is involved in the regulation of ion channels. This localization is crucial as phospholemman modulates the activity of Na, K-ATPase, thereby influencing muscle contractility and cellular excitability. The phosphorylation of phospholemman in response to adrenergic or insulin stimulation highlights phospholemman′s importance in muscle physiology, particularly in the context of cardiac function and response to metabolic signals. Anti-phospholemman antibody (Ser 68) enables researchers to gain insights into the regulatory mechanisms of muscle contraction and the physiological roles of phospholemman in health and disease.
