SEE ALSO...

p-NF-H (RNF405) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects phosphorylated NF-H in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). anti-p-NF-H antibody (RNF405) is available non-conjugated or conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. Neurofilament-H (NF-H), a member of the intermediate filament family, serves as a major component of neuronal cytoskeletons. Neurofilaments are dynamic structures containing phosphorylation sites for various protein kinases, including protein kinase A, protein kinase C, cyclin-dependent kinase 5, extracellular signal regulated kinase, glycogen synthase kinase-3, and stress-activated protein kinase g. Beyond controlling axon caliber, neurofilaments may influence other cytoskeletal elements like microtubules and Actin filaments. Altered neurofilament phosphorylation or metabolism commonly occurs in neurodegenerative diseases, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson′s disease, and Alzheimer′s disease.

If using this antibody for immunofluorescence, what color should be expected?

Asked by: ImmunoQ
Thank you for your question. The color of fluorescence is dependent on the conjugation option or secondary antibody being used. For instance, AF488 or FITC are green, while PE or AF647 are red.
