p-HSP 27 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 82 phosphorylated HSP 27 (also known as HSPB1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-HSP 27 antibody (B-3) is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSP 27 plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, functioning as a molecular chaperone that helps prevent protein aggregation and assists in refolding denatured proteins. HSP 27′s ability to translocate from cytoplasm to nucleus under stress conditions is vital for protecting cells from apoptosis and promoting cell survival. Phosphorylation of HSP 27 at Serine residues, particularly Ser 15, Ser 78, and Ser 82, is essential for chaperone activity and is regulated by various signaling pathways, including those activated by growth factors and heat shock. This post-translational modification enhances protective functions and modulates interactions with other proteins, thereby influencing numerous cellular processes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very potent and highly specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and is highly recommended for Western blotting. There was very strong detection of target ~30 kDa HSP27 in human HeLa cells treated for 2 hours with anisomycin on Western blots, and no significant cross-reactivities on these blots with any off-target proteins.
