    SEE ALSO...

p-eEF2K Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects eukaryotic elongation-factor-2 kinase (eEF2K) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-eEF2K (F-8) antibody plays a crucial role in understanding the regulation of protein synthesis, as eEF2K is a key kinase that modulates the elongation phase of translation by phosphorylating and inactivating eEF2. This process is vital for cellular responses to various stimuli, including stress and growth factors, as p-eEF2K directly influences the rate of polypeptide chain elongation. The phosphorylation of eEF2K at specific serine residues, such as Ser 359 and Ser 366, is essential for activity and regulation, with Ser 359 being particularly significant as insulin-like growth factor-1 and other growth factors influence this site. eEF2K integrates signals from multiple pathways, including those mediated by SAPK4 and p70 S6 kinase, highlighting p-eEF2K′s importance in cellular homeostasis and adaptation. Using anti-eEF2K antibody (F-8) enables researchers to gain insights into the intricate mechanisms of translation regulation and the physiological implications of eEF2K activity in various biological contexts.
