eEF2K Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects eEF2K of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-eEF2K antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The eukaryotic elongation factor 2 kinase (eEF2K) plays a crucial role in regulating protein synthesis by phosphorylating and inactivating eEF2, which is essential for the elongation phase of translation. This regulation is particularly important under stress conditions, as eEF2K activity can modulate the rate of polypeptide chain elongation, thereby influencing cellular responses to various stimuli. eEF2K is predominantly located in the cytoplasm and interacts with several signaling pathways, including those activated by insulin-like growth factor-1 and stress-activated protein kinases. Phosphorylation of eEF2K at specific serine residues, such as Ser 359 and Ser 366, is critical for activity and regulation, as these modifications determine eEF2K′s ability to modulate translation in response to cellular signals. Understanding eEF2K function and regulation is vital for elucidating its role in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.

I am using eEF2K (C-12): sc-390710 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?
