SEE ALSO...

Osteocalcin Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects osteocalcin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-osteocalcin antibody (D-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Osteocalcin, also known as BGLAP or BGP, is a crucial non-collagenous protein predominantly produced by osteoblasts and plays a significant role in bone mineralization. This unique protein structure includes three vitamin K-dependent γ-carboxyglutamic acid residues that facilitate binding to hydroxyapatite in a calcium-dependent manner. Osteocalcin presence in the bone matrix is essential for maintaining bone density and strength, helping regulate mineralization and influencing osteoclast and osteoblast activity. Additionally, genetic variations at the osteocalcin locus on chromosome 1q have been linked to variations in postmenopausal bone mineral density, highlighting osteocalcin′s importance in bone health and potential predisposition to osteoporosis in certain populations.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with osteocalcin (D-11): sc-390877 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: jenni
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
